Pete Dent is a San Francisco-based artist whose work reflects a lifelong dedication to capturing the beauty in everyday moments. After studying painting at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, he built a strong foundation in fine art before taking a break to raise his family. Since returning to art in 2015, Pete has explored pastels, printmaking, and oil painting, continuously expanding his creative practice.
Working from his Shipyard studio, Pete draws inspiration from his travels and the subtle geometry of daily life. His art—ranging from landscapes and still lifes to geometric abstractions—invites viewers into vivid, emotional visual journeys.
Through vibrant color and meticulous detail, Pete’s pieces become windows into moments of quiet beauty and rich experience. His versatile use of oils, pastels, and prints reflects his commitment to exploring different mediums while maintaining a cohesive, expressive voice.
